Co-owner Total Bond Veterinary Hospitals
Jodi Werfal, DVM, has been a partner with VPP for 3 years and brings over 32 years of veterinary medicine experience. She is located in Gastonia, North Carolina, where she serves as the co-owner and DVM for TotalBond Veterinary Hospital at Bethel. Dr. Werfal has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, including Laparoscopic survey, and is Fear Free and AAFP certified. She graduated from Louisiana State University with her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1991. Dr. Werfal finds the MAB at VPP important, as it allows her to advocate for DVMs in small animal practice, as well as the development of training protocols.
When Dr. Werfal isn’t tending to animals, she enjoys spending time with her husband, a retired emergency medicine veterinarian, her two daughters and their pets, a cockapoo, Yorkipoo and a DLH cat. She also enjoys traveling, gardening, reading and volunteering with the Girl Scout organization and at elder care facilities.
