My externship at Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hell's Kitchen has been one of my best experiences thus far. Dr. Liff and the rest of the staff provided a positive learning environment, allowing me to gain new skills and excel in this field quickly. Everyone on staff, including the team at the Clinton Hill location, was welcoming, patient, and willing to teach me; it was the experience I had been longing for. My time at Pure Paws Veterinary Care gave me the growth I needed to prepare me for my 3rd year of vet school. I am excited to apply what I learned throughout my externship during the school year.

I had an amazing externship with Annapolis Cat Hospital. The team at the practice was kind, and welcoming. The doctors were extremely knowledgeable and great teachers. The support staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. The exposure and case loads of this experience allowed me to shape and refine my skills as a 4th year veterinary student to provide the highest quality of care to my future patients. I was a VPP student ambassador at the University of Tennessee and it has been one of the best experiences of vet school. I have met great people through VPP and it has really changed my perspective on what corporate vet practices can look like. I love how each clinic is unique yet still encourages a family atmosphere so that everyone, from veterinarians to technicians to receptionists, can enjoy coming to work. The VPP Academy was an amazing experience. The fact that VPP even offers clinical training for DVMs is something that we should all be so grateful for. The skills portion of the week was amazing, but the relationship and community building was a very welcome breath of fresh air.
